Dear Members,
From Monday, 31st January 2022, the WA Government is further expanding the Proof of Vaccination requirements to include all licensed venues.
We have always said that we would follow all WA Government directives and public health advice, with regards to COVID-19 and this time is no exception. Therefore from Monday, 31st January 2022 it is expected all patrons over the age of 16 will be required to show PoV or a medical exemption when using the Pro Shop, Office, Clubhouse and locker rooms. Please note that this PoV does not apply to the Golf Course at Melville Glades as the mandates currently stand.
Golf WA have advised late this afternoon that should a patron (member/guest/visitor) be required to enter a licenced premise to either pay a green fee or enter a competition, then this will be permissible without having to show PoV. Patrons will also be allowed to use toilet facilities without PoV, even if that means passing through a licenced area. Patrons will still have to scan in and be wearing a mask in such licenced areas. Members without PoV may not linger in these areas or purchase any other items in the Pro Shop.
As a result of this the Pro Shop and Office will have a limit of 2 patrons inside at any one time.
The Board will be meeting as scheduled on Monday evening and there will be further updates provided following this meeting.
As a constantly evolving situation, how the various restrictions apply to our specific venue is subject to change as further directives are released by the WA Government. We will do our best to keep members informed and updated.
We thank members again for their patience and remind all members to stay safe, check-in using Services WA, practice good hygiene and always wear a mask when inside the Clubhouse, office and Pro Shop – no mask, no service
