Dear members,
To all members playing in both the Monthly Medal on the 9th April and all rounds of this year’s Men’s Club Championship, please be advised our course will be set up to its maximum length and played from our Black tee area.
I understand some members will not be in agreeance with this set up but please realise these are premium events with a lot of prestige attached.
Our course is designed to be played from red, yellow, blue and black tee areas, however we do not utilise the Black tee area enough.
All playing handicaps will be adjusted accordingly.
For those interested holes 1-9 playing off the black tees adds an additional 108 metres in total. This averages out at 12 metres per hole. Holes 10-18 plays an additional 97 metres longer in total an average just under 11 metres per hole.
It is my intention to communicate any decisions like this well in advance so as to eliminate any surprise, adverse comments and general disapproval when you arrive at the tee area.
Please embrace this decision along with the challenge involved.
