Our women’s senior pennants team headed out for their 1st of 5 rounds in the Central Black Division.
Thanks to Terri-Anne Williams with partner Glenda Jones and Cheryl Collings with partner Jenny Marsh for committing to the full season.
We then welcome new pennant recruit Judy Harrison and club spirited inclusions Anne Ward, Christine Orr, and Di Jowett for completing this week’s impressive line-up.
Despite some pre-game rain limiting any practice, we headed out onto the Mount Lawley golf course to tackle Royal Perth. Playing against similarly handicapped opponents, it was game on. The Royal Perth ladies seemed more comfortable/experienced with the slick greens, sinking some impressive putts and managed to notch up a 3 games to 1 victory. Congrats go to Christine Orr and Di Jowett for working well as a team and notching up a classy 2 up win.
Our ladies enjoyed the challenge of the 4BBB format, each other’s company and the rain stopping before play commenced!
Next week’s team will head off to Hartfield Country Club where they will take on the Gosnells Ladies.
