We are nearly at the end of our season but we still have some fun events coming up.
Our first Thursday back is the 12 hole Novelty Day with the theme of “A Royal Affair”! Interpret this however you wish. There is once again a prize for the best dressed team generously donated by Ellen Oliver.
There will be lots of novelties on the day, with challenges for all skill levels, as well as the challenge of the sandy greens.
Our last Thursday of competition is 17th November. Eighteen hole players will be competing for the Captains trophy and nine hole players will be competing for the Vice-Captains trophy. Once again we will be having a shotgun start so that we can celebrate the winners together as a group.
Thursday 24th November is the Ladies Annual Meeting day.
Congratulations to Sue Quinones and Mark Bonser for posting a great score to win the Mixed fundraising day. A fun day was had by all and special thanks to Club Captain Mike Petkovich for organising the sausage sizzle to feed us all when we finished playing. We raised over $2000 on the day. Thanks to the ladies committee for helping out, especially treasurer Julie Davies.
Congratulations also to Leanne McVey for winning the 36 hole event. Leanne parred the course in the morning round to set up her win overall. Thanks also to Leanne for organising snacks for everyone when we had finished.
