Well, that is the end of our 2022 Main Season and a sincere thankyou to all the Ladies who attended last week’s Ladies Annual Meeting (LAM).

We had some productive discussions concerning our 36 Hole Gold Letter event and our Main Season Competition Prizes.  All the relevant details will be recorded in the LAM minutes, and we will have plenty to consider over the summer season as we prepare for 2023.

Attached is a list of the “2022 End of Season” Trophy winners, most of whom were acknowledged and presented with their awards at the LAM.  For those winners who were not in attendance, I have your prizes safely stored away, so please come and see me when you are next at the club.

It is now time to relax into our casual Summer Season and enjoy some warm sunny golfing days.  We don’t have any main competitions throughout the summer season or post game presentations, but we would love to see you all in the club house, post-game, enjoying a drink and a chat. Traditionally we use the summer season to practice and improve our golfing skills. Stableford and Par competitions are the norm, but we may fixture in a 4BBB or 2 ball Ambrose, just for fun and a bit of variety.  You simply enter your name on the Tee sheet, in the usual manner and you will be partnered with the player entered next to you.  The pro-shop will answer any questions you may have about these formats and there is also the Golf Format Guide in the Ladies Locker room.  Prizes throughout the summer season are allocated in accordance with the Approved Prize Pool Template and paid into your Wallet or Pro-shop accounts in the usual manner.

We do run a Summer Eclectic competition for games on Tuesdays and Thursday. There is no entry fee, and everyone is automatically entered.  The overall Gross and Nett winners are announced and rewarded on Opening Day, March 9th, 2023.

For those interested in 2023 Pennants, GolfWA are currently sorting Divisions and Fixtures. They hope to have them finalized and on their website by mid-December, so you can lock away the relevant dates in your golfing diary.

And for anyone interested in the 2023 Regional Seniors, GolfWA have recently advised that they will be hosted by the Dunsborough and Districts Country Club on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th of May. Details are available on their web site.

I look forward to seeing you all at our deliciously popular Christmas Lunch on December 8th.

So relax, pop on the sunscreen and enjoy your Summer of Golf.

Cheers

Lynda Wake – Lady Captain.
