So………WHAT’S ON NEXT
We hope our fixture books will soon be available but in the meantime the March Calendar is up in the Ladies Locker room and I will ask Admin to provide a link for you to view this online.
TUESDAYS – will remain our casual Stableford and Par competitions and whilst the warm weather continues, we will keep our usual 2 tee Start times going. We will look at introducing the one Tee extended option from May 30th and continuing for all suitable Tuesdays (depending on course afternoon activities) until September 5th.
THURSDAY – MAIN MARCH COMP DAYS
March 16th -We are straight into Round 1 – Putting and Consistency “Stroke”. As advised on Opening day, there will be Rod Webb sponsored 1st Prizes for all grades and the 9 hole group. The available comp fee Template funds will then be paid out from 2nd place and down the line for good scores. So take on the challenge of the Stroke game and good luck.
REMEMBER TO COUNT YOUR PUTTS – All the stroke game stats go towards the end of Season Putting and Consistency awards. If you are scoring with a Card, please total your putts, record on the top of your card and submit to the Pro shop. If you are using MiScore, please “enable your Putts” on the SETTINGS tab and record your putts for each hole. Thanks go to Matt Espie who has investigated the MiScore app and found a way to retrieve putting totals- yeehaa! This will save so much time collating putting stats and hopefully avoid all the missing scores. Thanks Matt.
March 23rd – will be a stableford competition, the first of 4 Oska Pulse rounds. Throughout the season, your best 3 Oska Pulse, stableford scores will be tallied. The winner will be awarded the highly sought after Oska Pulse pain relief machine. This is a fabulous prize, worth a few hundred dollars, that all past winners have very much appreciated and continue to use regularly with great results. No entry form needed, just select your tee time and play well. In addition to the overall Oska Pulse prize, daily prizes will still be awarded from the competition fees as per usual. Sincere thanks to our Oska Pulse sponsor.
March 30th – Its back into Stroke mode with Putting and Consistency round 2. Additionally, this is the first of the golfwa Silver Spoon rounds. A flyer detailing how the golfwa Silver Spoon comp works, and entry fee, is up in the Ladies Locker room for those interested players. On these Silver Spoon days, we will be awarding a 1st Prize Silver Spoon to the best overall Nett score in addition to the Rod Webb sponsored and competition fee Template prizes. Although the decision was made to discontinue the increasingly expensive Silver Spoon prizes, we do have a supply of Spoons available, that have been donated back by several of our Lady Members – wanting to share the joy and achievement of winning a Silver Spoon. Sincere thanks ladies for your generous donations.
So good luck as you head out onto our spectacular golf course for the Main 2023 season. Enjoy the cooler weather, the kangaroos, the serenity and each other’s company. Let’s make the most of every golfing day and if things don’t go as good as expected……DON’T WORRY, BE HAPPY.
Good health and good golf everyone.
