Thank you to everyone who completed the recent Capital Expenditure survey. In total we had 300 responses submitted which will be used by the Finance Committee and Board to assist in prioritising future spending on Capital Expenditure.
As members can see on the graph, the three highest priority items for members who responded were for a major Clubhouse redevelopment, upgraded cart pathways and upgraded pathways around the Clubhouse. After that responses were evenly spread.
What next?
The Finance Committee and Board will use the responses from the survey along with advice from staff on capital items that may need replacing, to rank items into a new 1, 3, 7-year Capital Expenditure plan. Following this ranking process, more detailed planning and budgeting for priority items will be conducted prior to final approvals being granted by the Board.
The 2021 survey identified several priority projects that have either been completed or are ongoing, such as Course Reticulation upgrades, greens replacements, new Clubhouse furniture, a new utility vehicle, upgraded air conditioning system within the Clubhouse and a new audio system in the Clubhouse. Some items will be planned for 2024 however large projects, such as the major Clubhouse redevelopment, could be several years in the planning.
