As members would be aware the Match Committee and volunteers have been monitoring the status of players to ensure non-members were not accessing the course without paying appropriate Guest fees.
Checks were conducted both early morning and afternoons over the past 2 months and identified a number of issues with non-payment which I am pleased to say has now been largely stamped out.
A significant number of financial members without yellow bag tags were identified – and this has also been rectified.
We were warmly welcomed by current members who appreciated the efforts of the volunteers and this in itself was very pleasing.
Going forward we will continue to do random checks from time to time and together with our improved video monitoring system of the 1st and 10th tees, we will be able to ensure all golfers on course are members who have checked in with the Pro shop before teeing off.
Finally please remember to
- ensure that your yellow bag tag is visible so you don’t get stopped unexpectedly and
- remember that ALL players (Social or Comp) MUST report to the Pro Shop prior to teeing off
