Summer Golf
The summer season has started and will continue until the Ladies Season Opener on Thursday March 7th 2024.
An eclectic competition will run through this period and for the first time will include all competition rounds the women play in. The Eclectic Leaderboard can be accessed on the Club website at Member Home -> Leaderboards -> Eclectic (a link at the bottom of the Leaderboard list). This is a great way of seeing your best score for each hole throughout this period.
Tuesday competitions will be a one tee start during summer, except where there is an event in the afternoon. The first eight timeslots are reserved for the 18 hole competition players so they can avoid the heat in the latter part of their round. All other timeslots are for 9 hole or 18 hole groups. When booking into these timeslots ALWAYS nominate if you are playing in the 9 hole or 18 hole competition. This allows the timeslot to be treated as a 9 hole competition group or an 18 hole group, based on the first booking. Please do not mix up these groups with 9 and 18 hole competition players. This is detrimental to the flow of the field.
Thursday competitions will start off both the 1st and 10th tees. We are trialling a new timesheet template to cater for all our members time preferences. Please be patient while we see how this pans out.
Over summer we often see people pull out of the competition due to the hotter weather. Please remember that it is good etiquette to contact your playing partners to inform them. Can I also ask that you check the timesheets the night before to see how many are in your timeslot and adjust your booking if necessary. Groups of 4 or 3 are preferred to keep the field flowing smoothly.
