In the July e-news members were advised that the Club would be painting a tree on course blue to support the Blue Tree project.

The tree that has been chosen is a dead tree on the walk between the 13th green and 14th tee and has been trimmed ready for painting. With the weather having now turned the corner, painting is going to be carried out on Thursday 19th September.

Members are asked to keep to the solid path while painting is in progress and keep off the wood chip path that will have a cherry picker parked on it for the duration of painting.

The Blue Tree is a visual reminder to check on our loved ones and friends who may be struggling and to act as a gentle reminder to ourselves. For more information on the Blue Tree Project please click here.

Thanks to club members Tracy and Phil Johnson for organising, Dominic Hyde for painting and Ryan Allomes for providing the paint, along with Nigel Williams offering his services to ensure the tree is adequately prepared for painting and loaning his cherry picker.
