Dear Members,
The Club’s strong membership numbers are similar to those at the same time last year and as a result demand has remained high for playing times across some of our fields. This has been particularly evident during the winter months and will partially resolve over coming weeks as more playing times become available due to the increase in daylight hours.
To further relieve pressure on playing times and help sustain the course, the Board, at its August meeting agreed to introduce a membership waiting list for Ordinary Male members.
It was agreed to set a hard cap on the number of Male Ordinary members, both over 35 and in the age groups under 35. Caps and waiting lists already exist for other membership categories. These caps will help to ensure that demand for playing times should be no greater than the end of last year.
Once these caps are reached new applications will be placed onto waiting lists until a space becomes available.
These cap figures will continue to be reviewed and may be reduced further following the membership renewal period.
