Over the last few months, we have trialed the Nearest the Pin (NTP) on Friday and Sunday mixed fields being conducted through the MiScore App. Overall response has been positive. This has been reflected in Presentations, with winners of NTP’s being recognized consistently and there has been a reduction in the use of admin time in the Office and Pro Shop chasing results. Therefore, from March 1st, we will be rolling this out to all other competitions for the remainder of the season. There were teething issues, that have either been communicated or limited, and we will advise and work with MiScore (which we are continuing to do) in order to have a smoother golfing experience. We will continue to have the white markers out on the greens and continue to have the flag measurements as the best form of identifying the closest shot at each Par 3. The roll out will mean that days with separate AM and PM competitions will have separate AM and PM NTP’s, including separate identification discs. In addition, if anything is wrong with the App or you feel like you have had a closer shot to the hole, contact the Pro Shop or Golf Operations and take a picture for a reference point.
