At the recent AGM the President made reference to a document, titled Golf Club Governance in Australia, compiled by Golf Business Advisory Services (GBAS) and endorsed by Golf Australia (GA).
The Board considered the report in November 2024, when agreeing a proposed new governance model to be presented to the Members, after seeking further feedback at future member forums.
In addition to the experiences of other Clubs that have adopted more modern governance structures, the report is a good benchmarking tool when considering changes to club Board and committee structures.
