Our South Yellow Senior Pennants team continued it’s great start to the season with a 3 1/2 to 1 1/2 win at Secret Harbour. After last season we realised that the key to success was to win matches away from home, so it was particularly pleasing to deliver our first away win.
The three matches we won were all by a margin of 3&2 with the teams of Don Hitchcock & Allan Van Der Brugghen, Derrick McCloskey & Parry Kahlon and Simon Hird & Neshko Sajtinac all backing up their wins from last week. Ric Moore and Joe Vergone fought back brilliantly from five down to tie their match which helped put the icing in the cake.
Round three sees us host Hatfield at MGGC next Tuesday

Our second game of the season wasn’t as successful as last week, as we went down 3-2 to Gosnells on their home patch. Last week we took Gosnells down at home and won 3 ½ to 1 ½ so overall we are slightly ahead in the double header.
No doubt home course has its advantage as a few of us struggled with the kikuyu grass especially when it came to chipping in off the rough, but the boys fought hard to win 2 matches.
Special note to Dean King and Gary Dreyer who won convincingly 4 and 3. Kim Matthews and Frank Starkey won 2 up, with Frank’s clutch three metre putt on the last hole breaking the hearts of the opposition.
Next week we take on Hartfield at home, so that will give us a chance to jump up the ladder.

Senior Individual Division Two
The Men’s Div 2 team had a hard-fought win over Gosnells in their first match hosted by Joondalup.
Rob Halden, Tom Colella, Bruce Lee Steere & Greg Cartwright all winning their matches in a 3 ½ to 1 ½
