Dear Members,

Further to previous advice surrounding Proof of Vaccination requirements at Melville Glades Golf Club we must remind members that the only exceptions to enter and remain in parts of the Club that are licenced is to:

  • register and pay a competition or green fee within the Pro Shop (or Gazebo for a Monday competition),
  • to use the toilets in the main entry or foyer area, or
  • to attend the office to pay your fees.

Members must NOT purchase items from the bar for any member who can not provide PoV if and when requested.

The main bar areas, gazebo, verandah and locker rooms are not allowed to be accessed without PoV.

Murdoch Police have been in contact with the Club and advised that there are potential penalties for members and visitors as individuals as well as for the Club as a business. For individuals these penalties include possible imprisonment for up to 12 months or a fine of up to $50,000 and for the Club it could be a fine of up to $250,000. Potentially we are putting our liquor licence in jeopardy. We are being monitored and require everyone to comply with the rules to safeguard the staff, the members and the Club.

While we understand that everyone will have their own opinions on whether the rules are right or wrong, please do not put undue pressure on staff by pushing the boundaries of what is currently allowed. If you are unsure of what may or may not be allowed, please contact the General Manager.
