Dear Members,

Monday 28th February the Premier announced that Western Australia would move to Level 2 public health measures effective 12.01am on Thursday 3rd March. Further restrictions for private and public gatherings, no spectators at community sport and extra mask wearing requirements were amongst the changes announced. From a Club perspective the major change operationally is the return of seated service only, within the Clubhouse, however the capacity limit remains unchanged.

In addition to the upgraded health measures announced by the Premier, the Board decided that from 12.01am on Thursday 3rd March that no guests may attend the Clubhouse or Golf Course until further notice. Day to day member operations will continue to operate under the Level 2 measures. Please note we have a Wake booked for Thursday 3rd March and we will honour the booking. This will be held in the Gazebo to avoid extra exposure to members and staff.

Also at the Board meeting last night, Monday 28th February, the Board approved a set of by-laws with regards to Proof of Vaccination. The By-law allows the Board to make the Club as safe as possible for the Members (vaccinated or unvaccinated) and the employees. As a result of this by-law it was agreed that all new members to Melville Glades will need to provide Proof of Vaccination before being accepted as a member. The full PoV by-law can be read here.

If members are forced into isolation protocols please ensure that you advise the Club and any members you may have been in contact with. The testing and isolation protocols in a high caseload environment can be found here.

Please continue to use the sanitiser stations available, wear a mask, check-in at the Club and if asked have your Proof of Vaccination ready to show. Thank you for your understanding.
