Dear Members,

Please see information below for upcoming events at the Club from the Match Committee:

  1. Bushfire Appeal – As some members would be aware Bridgetown Golf Club and Jerramungup Golf Club were impacted by bushfires this Summer. Golf WA are facilitating a Bushfire Appeal and asking Club’s to donate a portion of their competition fees to provide support to these two affected Clubs. Melville Glades will be donating $2 per member from the daily competition fees collected on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th Members will have the opportunity to donate to the appeal on these days via boxes in the Pro Shop and Bar.
  2. Course Ratings – The Club has been in the process of having our 4 tee blocks re-rated based on changes to the course in recent years on several holes and also to have every tee able to be played off for both men and women. While the overall changes were minimal to overall slope and scratch ratings some members may notice a change to their playing handicap. The new ratings will take effect from Tuesday 8th.   3. City of Melville Cup – The Club Opening Day and City of Melville Cup will take place on Sunday 13th Members wanting to play in this event must book into the timesheet and pay their competition fee to the Pro Shop on the day. While there is no entry form for the event, conditions of entry are attached to the timesheet. Playing in the competition on this day will be compulsory for all who book. The bar and kitchen will be open as per normal and capacity will be based on the COVID restrictions on the day.
  4. Golf Day Postponed – The GMA day scheduled for Tuesday 8th March has been postponed. As a result social play will be allowed as normal in the PM following the ladies competition. The timesheet has been updated accordingly and is now open for bookings.
