As you would all know, our Ladies pennant team won the Div 3 pennant last season.
We were promoted to Div 2 for 2023.
I would like to thank all the Ladies who have committed to our team this year and a special thanks to all our great caddies for there outstanding support. (Special mention to Caddy Cheryl Collings who encouraged Anne Ward to a draw, after starting 5 holes down after playing 5. Great come back Cheryl and Anne!)
Our 1st outing was to Mt Lawley.
Although we went down to Wanneroo 4 1/2 to 2 1/2 the score certainly doesn’t reflect how close the matches were. We faced some quality opponents and we were all fiercely competitive.
Well done to You Ran who won her match and to Anne Hitchen and Helen Constable who battled on to square their matches.
Could have been a different result if the three squared matches had been able to play on (as we have always done in previous years). Mind you we were all pretty tired and keen to conserve some energy for Club Champs the next day!
This week we play at home.
