Hope you have enjoyed the last couple of stress free golfing weeks, still bathed in sunshine.

Our Pennant team has still been in action and have won many individual matches, despite not managing a team win.  The last two rounds we lost 4/3. It’s been a tiring schedule for those who played both pennants and Club Champs.  We have 1 round to go, and we will be heading off early Monday morning to Wanneroo to take on the Division 2 leaders, “The Vines”.  We have enjoyed great team camaraderie and support from our Caddies, (including a couple of hubbys who risked marital bliss to help out).

Senior Pennants is just around the corner – first round commencing on July 10th.  It’s a 4BBB format, with leisurely tee times of 11.30am!  The fixtures are up in the locker room, so if you are over 50 and keen to play, look out for the sign up sheet coming soon to our Ladies Locker room.

Next Event – Our 36 Hole Foursomes Championship will go ahead as fixtured on Thursday June 1st.  Whilst we did not get the 24 entries we set as a minimum, the enthusiasm of the 20 player entries won out.   This is a Gold Letter event for the Gross Champions.  Prizes to be awarded for Best Gross, Gross R/up, Best Nett score (Tea Tree Gully Trophy) and Nett R/up.

There will be the usual selection of pre-made sandwiches available to purchase between your two rounds, or with the anticipated 45 to 50 min lunch break, you should have plenty of time to order and enjoy your lunch/coffee/wine!   Good luck to you all. I hope you enjoy the challenge and that the weather stays fine.

Our morning tee sheet for that day looks healthy with our 9 Hole stableford and 18 Hole Foursomes competitions well supported.   There are now some earlier 1st Tee times available for the 18 hole Foursomes should anyone prefer an earlier tee time behind the 36 hole crew.

From here, we will be mixing it up with a Mixed grade Draw on Tuesday June 6th.  We are a friendly, fascinating, and entertaining group of ladies, so take this opportunity to enjoy playing with a different group.

Thursday June 8th – is our 6th Stroke Day – counting our Putts.  There will be the usual Rod Webb sponsored grade prizes and one of the last few remaining Silver Spoon Awards for the Best Overall Nett Score.

Cheers for now and enjoy the sunshine while it lasts.
