With the daylight hours slowly lengthening we are starting to re-introduce more groups on to the course. With the addition of extra groups pace of play throughout the day is extremely important. It is important that the first groups teeing off in the morning are completing their rounds in no more than 4 hours. All groups should be looking to complete their rounds in as close to 4 hours as possible.
Look forwards not backwards!
All groups should be aiming to keep pace with the group in front of them not keeping just ahead of the group behind them.
Be ready!
Play ready golf in your group – if you are not playing your shot you should be doing everything you can to prepare for your shot, without distracting others, while others are playing their shot. We all like to solve the worlds problems while we are on course but don’t let them distract you from the reason you are out there – to play golf.
We can handle a bad round here and there but what frustrates people on the golf course the most is slow play. Please do your bit to contribute to the enjoyment of a round of golf!
