GolfWA are calling for our pennant team nominations by November 10th, 2023. We would like to nominate 3 Women’s teams for 2024 as follows:
Division 2 – We have again qualified to remain in Division 2 – Individual Matchplay Stroke competition played off the stick. Ideally, we are looking for dedicated players with handicaps around 20 or below.
Division 4 or 5 – This is a handicapped Individual Matchplay Stroke competition suitable for handicaps up to 35.
For both Division 2 and 4 or 5, the competition days are Monday morning, and the season starts on April 29th and concludes on June 24th.
We would also like to nominate a Senior Pennant Team – This is a 4BBB Nett Stroke Matchplay competition for all handicap levels for ages 50+.
The season commences on July 8th and extends to August 19th. All matches are played on Mondays and generally have a leisurely mid-morning tee off. This is a great introduction to Pennants if you haven’t played before as you pair up a teammate from the club.
We run a few clinics prior to the start of the season to practice our short game skills and get to know the rest of the team.
So, if you are interested in representing our club, please let us know as soon as possible. The team environment of Pennants is a great way to extend your golfing experience and play on other courses in a social environment.
Happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have before committing. We will only be nominating teams that we know we can comfortably fill so please check your diaries and make sure you will be available and keen to participate.
