I would like to start on a positive note by thanking member for their increased diligence in filling divots on the fairways and as a result our fairways are looking and playing very well.
However, I have received an increased number of complaints from members, some quite irate and justifiably so after viewing photos regarding the lack of care by a group of members in repairing divots in the rough. Being in the rough should be penalty enough for an errant shot, one’s ball shouldn’t be near unplayable because the person in that area before you was thoughtless.
We expect all members to repair areas that include the fairway second cut (aka Velcro) and the rough with sand as though it’s the middle of the fairway.
Allow me to use this opportunity to remind all members to continue to rake our bunkers properly and repair all, not just your pug marks on the greens.
Happy golfing!
