One major project that has been proposed for several years now is an upgrade to the cart pathway that runs outside the Clubhouse between the 9th and 10th holes. I am happy to say that a replacement of this path will be carried out during the Course renovation week (28th Oct to 1st Nov). Dowsing Group have been selected to complete the works for the Club.

At the same time a new cart path, specifically for motorised carts, will be constructed that runs from the 9th to the 10th holes and runs in the flat area between the putting greens and chipping green. With the construction of this new path, motorised carts will no longer be able to navigate to the 10th tee using the path directly outside the Clubhouse, creating a safer area for members accessing the Clubhouse and congregating before and after rounds of golf.

Designated cart parking spaces along the new path and a turnaround point at the northern end of the Clubhouse have been included within the scope of works.

Please see an image showing the indicative layout of the new path and replacement path below.

In preparation for the new path to be constructed during this week, some preliminary works on the grass flats will be carried out in the week prior, with turf being cut and removed to allow Dowsing Group workers clear access to prepare the area at the earliest possible opportunity. These areas will be roped off and we would ask members to keep clear of these areas.

Director of Course, Nigel Williams will be the onsite project manager for the path construction as Dane and his team will be busy undertaking the annual course renovations at the same time.

With an increasing number of members using carts at the Club this an exciting project for the Club and we look forward to the finished product.
