Dear members,

Overall, the course is recovering well after renovation week with playing surfaces expected to be back to normal conditions over the next week or two .

Heading into the greens coring, course staff used a chemical to dab to help control winter grass (Poa). This method has worked well on greens, however it has left small sunken areas on greens 8 and 9 in particular. Underneath the sand from renovations healthy bent grass is coming through, we expect this to be fully recovered over the next fortnight.

Hole conditions will deteriorate quicker throughout the day after coring, due to organic matter being removed and replaced with fresh sand. Holes are still changed daily throughout this period but edges don’t appear as fresh or clean cut as they were prior to renovations. This is expected to slowly improve over the next 2-3 weeks.

Thank you for your patience
