We are only a month away from the City of Melville Cup, which will be hosted on the Saturday 8th March 2025. In addition we will be adding another trophy to play for on Sunday 9th March, which will be the 4BBB Trophy. Essentially making the collective competitions an ‘Opening Weekend’. The two scoring formats will be Par & 4BBB (when booking your pair will be determined as players 1/2 and 3/4 in the tee sheet). Details on the competition are below.
CONDITIONS OF PLAY – CITY OF MELVILLE CUP & 4BBB TROPHY (Club Opening Day/Weekend)
- The Melville Glades, City of Melville Cup and 4BBB Trophy will be played over 18 holes with an AM and PM Shotgun Start at 7:30am and 12.45pm on Saturday 8th March 2025 (City of Melville cup) and Sunday 9th March 2025 (4BBB).
- This event is open to all Melville Glades Members. All golfers must have a current Golflink Handicap to be eligible to win prizes in this event (except novelty prizes).
- To enter the event golfers must book themselves into the timesheet when it opens as per a regular timesheet and booking rights allow. The usual $10 competition fee applies to all who play.
- It is compulsory to play within the Competition and compete for the City of Melville Cup.
- The City of Melville Cup will run as a Mixed Individual Par Event played over 18 holes and the 4BBB Trophy will run as 4BBB Pairs Event (entry for the pairs based on position in the tee sheet).
- Presentations will be conducted at the conclusion of the afternoon field with prizes awarded for:
- Overall Winner (City of Melville Cup Winner and 4BBB Trophy)
- Overall Runner-up
- AM Winner & Runner-up
- PM Winner & Runner-up
- Good Scores down the line as per prize money allocations
- Nearest to the Pin’s on par 3’s
- An individual or pair may only win one of a, b, c and d as per above.
- Trial or Provisional Trial Members are not eligible to win either 1,2,3 or 4 as per above but may play on the day.
- In the event of a tie the Golf Australia Countback system will be used to determine the winners.
- The City of Melville Cup is a Motorised Buggy Prohibited Competition and use of a motorised cart will only be permitted as outlined in the 2024/25 Fixture Book (page 9/10), 4BBB Trophy will allow carts.
