City of Melville Cup
Saturday 8th March
18 Hole Par Competition – Shotgun Start 7:30am & 12:45pm
$10 entry fee
This golf club is traditionally used to make the first tee shot on the opening day of each golf season at Melville Glades. The tradition originated on the first official day of golf at the club on the 3rd May 1969 when the City of Melville Mayor, Ron Carroll, performed that role.

The honour of making the ceremonial tee shot on every season’s opening day has been offered to the Melville City Mayor, who is also the Patron of the club, every year since with most taking up that offer and participating in the day’s events.
Melville Glades 4BBB Trophy
Sunday 9th March
18 Hole 4BBB Competition – Shotgun Start 7:30am & 12:45pm
$10 entry fee
The 4BBB Trophy is an inaugural event, which has been setup to enhance the ‘Opening Day’ experience with its inclusivity, team dynamic and creating a sense of culture over the weekend. It follows on from the City of Melville Cup with similar start times, change of format, use of motorized carts and a team element which gives our members another trophy to play for and a fun way to end ‘Opening Week’.
In addition, we will also be recognizing our Summer Eclectic winners for the Ladies on Thursday at presentations and our Men’s Summer Eclectic winners on Saturday 15th March.
Kind Regards
